Start with a cover letter. Simply introduce yourself and say why you think you’re fit for the job you are vying for. You don’t have to include details like achievements, skills and experiences—save those for your resume.
• Do a bit of research with the job you are applying for. Look for the qualifications and skills needed for the job.
• A sample resume should fit the job you are applying for. It should outline the following: personal information, contact detail, objectives, experiences, qualifications, skills, references, etc.
• Use bullet points to keep the information clear and straight to the point. Highlight the qualifications and skills needed to meet the job requirements. Use action words and contruct sentences in active form.
• Limit your resume to 1 to 2 pages. Any more than that will make your resume look cluttered and redundant. To save space, use symbols like %, $, &, #, etc.
